JAMMU, Aug 7: BJP Spokesperson, Balbir Ram Rattan along with BJP senior leader, Kulbhushan Mohtra discussed upliftment of SC and ST unemployed youth of J&K with National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology (NIELIT) Director I/C, D.S Oberoi and Deputy Directors, Anil Raina and Sarita Kour.
Rattan and Mohtra were apprised of various skill development programmes being run at the institute for the past 30 years.
They were also appraised about the programmes run by the Government of India under SCSP/TSP and NCSC for the benefit of SC/ST unemployed youth.
The Director talked about one year free ‘O’ Level Computer Course for SC and ST youth for which the applicant must be 10+2 in any stream and must possess category certificate besides fulfilling the criteria of being less than 30 years of age and the course is free of cost for reserved categories candidates who also get Rs. 1000 monthly stipend.
NIELIT officials also said that all support to the candidates seeking admission in Skill Development Courses through online and offline mode is given.
The BJP leavers also visited various laboratories at NIELIT.
