Rather sanctions cash assistance for KP migrants in advance

JAMMU, Feb 24: In view of  Maha Shivratri, falling on February 27, Minister for Finance & Ladakh Affairs, Abdul Rahim Rather today sanctioned required monthly cash assistance and food grains in favour of the Kashmiri Pandit migrants settled in different parts of the country in advance for the current month.
He has directed the concerned Treasury Officers to insure payments in this regard without any delay.
It is pertinent to mention that cash assistance amounting Rs 135 crore and food grains worth Rs 8.50 crore per annum are being provided to these Kashmiri migrants.
