JAMMU, Apr 25: Jammu and Kashmir Rashtra Basha Prachar Samiti organised Natya Path (Play Reading) here at KL Saigal Hall.
On the occasion, Raman Bhalla, Minister for Culture, Housing, Horticulture and Sports was the chief guest, while Sushma Chauhan, Vice Chairman Jammu Development Authority graced the occasion as special guest.
Prof Ved Ghai, Prof Veena Gupta and Sita Ram Sapolia the prominent Dogri writers of the State were felicitated on the occasion.
A play namely “Kabulibala” based on the short story of RN Tagore and adapted it into play by Rajneesh Gupta was read by the prominent artists included Santosh Sangra, Madan Rangila, Rajinder Narang and Meera Tapasvi.
Earlier, Neeru Sharma, president, Jammu and Kashmir Rashtra Basha Prachar Samiti presented the welcome address, whereas in the end Prof Bharat Bushan Sharma, presented vote of thanks.
The proceedings of the programme were conducted by Dr Sudhir Mahajan, vice-president, Jammu and Kashmir Rashtra Basha Prachar Samiti.
Among others present were Champa Sharma, Prof Raj Kumari, Prof Lalit Magotra, Satinder Vijay Raj, Khalid Hussain, Puran Chand Badgotra, Sham Vihari, etc.
