JAMMU, May 9: Police today arrested a rape accused, who was absconding after raping a young girl at Narwal Pain in Jeevan Nagar area.
Pacca Danga police arrested the accused, who has been identified as Mohammad Sajid son of Yaseen Malik, a resident of Narwal Pain.
He was fleeing in car No. JK14A 4194 when police parties of Pacca Danga police station under the supervision of SP City (North) Yougal Manhas and SDPO City Kulbir Handa arrested him. The car, in which he was travelling, has also been seized.
A rape case has already been registered against the accused for further investigations.
