JAMMU, Mar 10: Presiding Officer of Fast Track Court, Y P Kotwal today rejected the bail application of Prem Singh, son of Suram Singh, who was allegedly involved in rape with a newly married girl.
After hearing Advocates JP Gandhi and Rajesh Sharma appearing for the applicant whereas APP GS Charak appearing for the State, Presiding Officer observed, “the accused with the help of other co-accused had abducted prosecutrix, a newlywed bribe, when she along with her husband was going to her matrimonial home”.
“The investigation is in progress and if the accused is admitted to bail, there is every possibility of he jumping over the bail and hamper with the prosecution witnesses”, the court said.
With these observations, court rejected the bail application.
