Range level competition of ‘Choona Hai Aasman’ held in Baramulla

Srinagar, Feb 24: Police today said a range level competition of the talent hunt programme ‘Choona Hai Aasman’ was held at Sherwani hall in Baramulla district of North Kashmir.
A police spokesman said the artists from across north Kashmir who got selected from their respective districts participated in the competition whose performance was judged by the eminent artists/jury members Shafi Sopori, Ghulam Mohammad Mahir and Showkat Majaz.
“The competition has attained significance as a number of respectables and eminent personalities from different parts of North Kashmir Range attended the function. All the participants exhibited their best to seal their positions for next round of the competition which is to be held at Zonal level,” he said.
He said those who make their way for the competition at Zonal level are Mohammad Farhan Khan, Haris Bin Riyaz, Arshid Margoo, Tanveer Ahmad Najar, Nazir Ahmad Sheikh, Shah Parihan, Ruqia Maqbool and Danishta Nabi, the police spokesman said.
DIG North Kashmir, Garib Dass presided over the function which was also attended by DIG CRPF Rajesh Kumar Yadav, District SPs of North Kashmir Range, other senior police officers and civil officers besides representatives of Beopar Mandal Baramulla and journalists from print and electronic media, he said.
The prizes among the winners and other participants were distributed, he added.
