JAMMU, Oct 20: Member Legislative Council (MLC) Vikram Randhawa alongwith Guru Tejveer Singh today inaugurated upgradation work of Goushala at Ward No-73, Gadigarh.
While speaking on the occasion, Randhawa said that Guru Tejveer Singh who is commonly known as ‘Ghodi Wale Babaji’ is doing a wonderful job from last over many years by serving the abandoned cows in his Goushala.
Randhawa said that people do chant ‘Gou Mata Gou Mata’ but no one comes for the rescue of the cows who are abandoned by their owners once they stop giving milk. He said that cow serves the mankind by providing milk and even her waste like urine and dung is considered to be as holy as ‘Gangajal’. He said that cow urine and dung is used by Hindus in almost all religious practices but nobody is worried about the cows who are abandoned. He said that those running ‘Goushalas’ across nation are doing the real service to ‘Gou Mata’.
Randhawa said that he has contributed Rs 10 lakh out of his CDF for the upgradation of this Goushala as there are around fifty cows and needs proper facilities. Randhawa also urged upon the people to donate for this noble cause instead of making useless statements and remarks which vitiates communal harmony.
Among others present were Captain Kehar Singh, Pitambar Lal, Girdhari Lal, Paramjit Singh, Satpal Choudhary, Ramesh Choudhary and Gurdayal Singh.
