Randhawa conducts visit to city parks

JAMMU, Dec 9: Member Legislative Council, (MLC) Ch. Vikram Randhawa, today visited the parks in the Green Belt area to oversee their maintenance and other facilities.
Randhawa , who was accompanied by the Director Floriculture, Babila Rakwal, today visited Park No-62, 63 and 64 in Gandhi Nagar.
He inspected the various ongoing repair works in these parks and directed the officers/officials to install benches/ lights etc which are the basic requirements in these parks so that those visiting here could feel relax and comfortable.
He said that tourism is the major industry in Jammu and Kashmir and if these parks are maintained properly can attract many of them.
While interacting with the local populace during his visit to these parks Randhawa said that it is the prime duty of the citizens to contribute to the ongoing ‘Swachh Bharat’ campaign launched by none other but the Prime Minister, Narendra Modi himself to keep our surroundings neat and clean. He said these parks are the property of the public and the public must keep them neat and clean.
He said that Bhartiya Janata Party is committed to carry forward the slogan ‘Sabka Sath Sabka Vikas’ to the doorsteps of the public.
