POONCH, Oct 23: Member Legislative Assembly Mendhar, Javed A Rana, has written a letter to Chief Minister, raising his concern on diverting of funds from State sector road projects to city / town roads and delay in blacktopping of roads in Mendhar.
Javed Rana, in his letter written to JK CM, has raised objection over diversion given to funds in an unexpected and unfortunate way. “All the allocation, under State sector, has been diverted for blacktopping and upgradation of the roads in the city area ” Rana’s letter mentioned.
“I am writing this letter with a ‘heavy heart” it adds while lawmaker in his letter has further stated that “inspite of major commitment and announcement made by the Government regarding the upgradation of roads in the State and particularly in sub division Mendhar, there is delay in blacktopping”.
Rana has further stated that the seasons deadline for blacktopping the roads fixed by the department is going to close very shortly and public of the area is questioning the reason.
“My humble submission to your goodself is to kindly intervene in the matter personally and direct the concerned department to start the work by way of blacktopping of the roads in Mendhar sub-division treating the matter as most urgent ” Rana appealed JKCM in the letter.
Manwhile Javed Rana has termed dilapidated condition of roads in Mendhar as a main reason of frequent accidents claiming human lives.
He also appealed BJP PDP State Government to stop running paper horses of development in Rajouri and Poonch and to come up with an effective and constructive development policy to solve public issues.
