MENDHAR, June 13: Senior National Conference leader and Member Legislative Assembly Mendhar, Javed Rana today asked State Government to bring results on ground rather than indulging in mere hollow sloganeering and ensure basic amenities to the public.
In a press statement issued on the completion of extensive tour of Mendhar area today, the MLA said that people’s sufferings can only be mitigated when Government is active and a Legislator alone can’t do much for the public.
“People in the areas of Mendhar are having several problems and I have undertaken all steps from my side to lessen their sufferings but Government need to put in efforts for final results which unfortunately are missing ” he said.
Rana also raised concern over deteriorated condition of power and water supply in the area. He alleged that ministers of all the concerned department are not bothering much about Poonch district and things have been left on God’s mercy.
The MLA alleged that water supply scheme in most of the areas are lying defunct and the officers are hardly bothered about it. The PHE sector is lying in shambles in Mendhar Sub Division.
Rana also gave example of poor state of affairs in Rural Development Department and said that it was unfortunate that he convened a meeting of concerned officers recently and came to know that huge amount is lying unspent with them.
“I have compiled a detailed report on all these problems and will present the same before Government in upcoming Assembly Session and assure the people that officers showing laxity in their job will have to explain their position, ” Rana maintained.
