SAMBA, Apr 28: Ramgarh police headed by Inspector Bhopinder Singh, SHO Ramgarh in close co-ordination with District Special Branch (DSB) Samba and under the direct supervision of Baljeet Singh, SDPO Vijaypur has seized 130 intoxicant capsules (Parvon Spas Plus). The police also arrested the drug peddler.
Police said during patrolling in Koulpur area a team of PS Ramgarh intercepted one person on suspicious ground and while frisking him 130 no. of intoxicant capsules (Parvon Spas Plus) were recovered from his possession. The accused has been identified as Surjeet Kumar, 27, S/o Gurmail Dass R/o Koulpur and he was arrested on spot and contraband items were seized.
In this regard a case FIR No. 24/18 U/S 8/21/22 NDPS Act stands registered at PS Ramgarh and investigation started. It is worthwhile to mention here that the accused was also arrested earlier by PS Ramgarh under Case FIR No. 63/2017 U/S 8/21/22 NDPS Act.
In an another similar incident, a Police Party of Police Station Vijaypur headed by Inspector Suraj Pathania, SHO Vijaypur in close co-ordination with District Special Branch (DSB) Samba and under direct supervision of Baljeet Singh, SDPO, Vijaypur intercepted one Rakesh Kumar S/o Rattan Chand R/o Koulpur from Rahya Morh under suspicious ground and during frisking recovered 140 capsules from his possession.
The accused person was arrested and contraband item seized on spot. In this regard case FIR No. 63/2018 U/S 8/21 NDPS Act was registered at PS Vijaypur and investigation started.
The drive was launched on the directives of SSP Samba, Anil Magotra.
