SAMBA, Dec 18: Acting on a reliable information received at PS Ramgarh, a police party of PS headed by SI, Bansi Lal, SHO Ramgarh under the direct supervision of Abhishek Sharma, SDPO Vijaypur, apprehended one bootlegger namely Kulbir Kumar son of Jander Kumar resident of Tinday Khurd, Tehsil Bishnah, district Jammu from village Kothey Pathania where he was illegally selling Excise liquor nips to the general public.
The accused was arrested and 31 Nos of Excise liquor nips of 180 ml each were recovered from his possession. In this regard a case FIR No. 72/2017 under Section 48(a) Excise Act was registered at PS Ramgarh and investigation started.
It may be recalled that District Police Samba has launched a drive against the menace of the drugs on the proficient directions of Anil Magotra, SSP Samba.
