SAMBA, July 2: The Ramgarh administration today initiated action against the owner of a brick kiln in Ramgarh area of Samba district for excavating earth from several kanals of State land in village Daduj falling under the jurisdiction of Ramgarh Police Station.
A joint team of Revenue Department and police headed by Tehsildar Ramgarh and accompanied by SHO Ramgarh, I P Singh raided the area and seized one JCB one tipper and one tractor on spot which were engaged in excavating the Government land and then lifting the earth for utilizing in making of bricks at the kiln without the permission from authorities.
The SHO Ramgarh said that the mafia had dug the land so deep that it has lost its entire commercial value and as the administration came to know about the same they swung into action and seized the JCB and other vehicles on the spot. He said in this regard a case was registered under Section 188 IPC and 447 RPC against the culprits.
The SHO said in another similar case of excavating State land in the Ramgarh area the joint team of Revenue Department and police has seized four tractors and registered a case under relevant sections of law in this regard.
