Ramban, Feb 20: A tour for the students of Ramban district flagged off by SSP Ramban Haseeb ur Rehman, got concluded today and the touring students returned to the district safely after visiting various historical/heritage sites in New Delhi and Hyderabad.
It’s pertinent to mention here that under the aegis of Ministry of Home Affairs, Govt. Of India, a tour for 150 students from the district was organized in which students from far flung areas of the district belonging to poor families were selected.
The students traveled from Ramban Jammu in departmental buses. Therefrom, the students completed their journey Delhi via train.
During their two days stay at Dehli, they visited Qutab Minar, Lotus Temple, Chanakyapuri National Police Memorial/ Museum, Red Fort, Rajpath and India Gate.
DGP J&K Dilbag Singh interacted with the students at National Police Memorial.
In Hyderabad, the students visited Salarjung Museum, Char Minar, Golconda Fort, Lumbini Park, Hussain Sagar Lake, Central Mall and National Police Academy where they met Director NPA Atul Karwal.
On their return to the district, an event was oganised at Ramban in order to know about their experiences of the tour. Event was attended by SSP Haseeb ur Rehman, Additional SP Sanjay Parihar, Dy SP DAR Ajay Jamwal, Dy SP Hqrs Asgar Malik, Dy SP (Prob) Sumit Sharma (caretaker), SHO Ramban and other members of district police Ramban.
