JAMMU, Nov 18: The Ramakrishna Mission Medical Centre, Udheywala, Jammu, collaborated with KLSM Rotary Eye & ENT Hospital, Udhampur, and Government Ayurvedic Hospital, Jammu, to organize a one-day free eye & ENT medical camp here today.
A statement said that the camp offered a variety of free medical services, including Allopathic and Ayurvedic treatments for eye and ENT issues, and consultations from physicians specialized in both fields.
Specialists such as a Cardiologist, Pediatrician, Orthopedic, Gynecologist, Dental Surgeon, General Surgeon, and Physiotherapist were available for consultations.
A total of 332 patients were examined by 15 doctors at this free medical camp. Refreshments were also provided for all patients.
A new optical shop, “Ramakrishna Opticals,” was also inaugurated during the camp, offering power glasses, sunglasses, contact lenses, goggles, etc., at very nominal costs.
Additionally, the camp provided free check-ups for blood sugar, blood pressure, and lung function (Spirometry).
Medicines were distributed free-of-cost to the patients. In the camp, 240 blood sugar tests and 25 lung function tests were also conducted free-of-charge.
This camp was part of the Ramakrishna Mission Medical Centre’s ongoing commitment to serve the community and provide accessible healthcare services to all.
Notable attendees included Rahul Charak, SP Jammu Rural; Dr D N Sharma, Chairman of KLSM Rotary Eye Hospital; and Rajiv Kajuria, President of NDF Jammu.
SP Rahul Charak praised the Ramakrishna Mission in Jammu for its excellent work following the ideals of Swami Vivekananda and encouraged everyone to support this humanitarian initiative.
Swami Yajnadharananda, Secretary of the Ramakrishna Mission, Jammu, stated that the Ramakrishna Mission Medical Centre has been providing medical services since 2006. He mentioned plans to organize a free camp every month and encouraged everyone to benefit from it.
“The Ramakrishna Mission, Jammu, provides cultural, educational, and medical services following the ideals of Sri Ramakrishna Dev, Maa Sarada, and Swami Vivekananda,” he added.
