AKHNOOR, Dec 7: BJP national general secretary (org), Ram Lal today stressed on strengthening booth committees.
Addressing a meeting of BJP activists at Akhnoor today, he said half of the battle is won if booth Committees are strong. He said 10 youth should perform their duty at every polling booth honestly.
On the occasion BJP State organizational general secretary Ashok Kaul, Col (retd) Uttam Singh and other senior Party leaders were present. The meeting was organized by BJP candidate from Akhnoor Rajiv Sharma. District president BJP Daljit Singh was also present on the occasion.
Earlier, Rajiv Sharma intensified his poll campaign in Akhnoor by visiting various villages of the Constituency. He was accompanied by former Minister Govind Ram Sharma, senior leader of Party B B Gupta, youth leader Suresh Sharma, Sardar Singh, Thakur Dass and Capt (retd) Tulsi Ram. They visited Dagah, Guda Talab, Targoyal, Sunail, Tanda, Gandrawa etc.
People in various areas apprised the BJP leaders of their problems. Sharma said that as PM Narendra Modi dethroned Congress in Delhi, the people of the State should also defeat the Congress.
He said the land grabbing in Akhnoor will be probed by new Government and those found guilty will be punished. He said people in large number are supporting BJP to get rid of the atrocities faced by them over years.
