JAMMU, Aug 30: Dharam Prachar Sewa Mandal (DPSM) Jammu today launched Dogri edition of ‘Ram Katha’ at Purani Mandi Ram Temple, here today.
Mahant Shri Rameshwar Dass 1008 presided over the function, whereas Capt Lalit Sharma IFS (Retd), Randhir Singh Raipuria, Sat Pal Raina, president DPSM and Varinder Dogra also shared the dais.
During the function, Mahant Shri Rameshwar Dass said that Ramayan teaches the world to live a meaningful life based on love, virtues, values, principles and discipline. “The message of Ramayana in the form of ‘Ram Katha’ is more relevant today, so that society does not drift away from the righteous path,”, he said.
Capt Lalit Sharma said that the recitation of Ram Katha has strengthened harmony in the society, while Randhir Singh Raipuria narrated that Ram Ji exemplified the ideal role of a son, father, wife, brother and teacher towards their family and society.
