Rakesh meets Union Minister Giriraj for strengthening of PRI institutions

NEW DELHI, June 8: Incharge All Cells BJP J&K, Rakesh Mahajan met with Union Minister for Panchayati Raj Giriraj Singh and discussed various issues related to strengthening the PRI institution in Jammu and Kashmir.
During the meeting, Mahajan apprised the Union Minister about the functioning of Panchayati Raj Cell of BJP J&K, which is playing vital role in strengthening the PRI institutions in the region and making PRI members aware of their crucial role in the upliftment of rural areas.
Mahajan also briefed the Union Minister about the long pending demand of J&K Panchs and Sarpanchs which was fulfilled by Modi Government by implementing 73rd and 74th Amendments in the Union Territory.
Furthermore, Mahajan requested the Union Panchayati Raj Minister to visit J&K and address the Panch Sammelan to impart awareness about the vision of Modi Government with regard to strengthen the Panchayati Raj institutions across the country.
The Union Minister assured Rakesh Mahajan that he would consider his request with regard to the upcoming convention in J&K. He asked him to continue their role in strengthening the PRI institutions in J&K.
