Rajput Sabha demands law to stop religious conversion

JAMMU, July 3: Shri Amar Kshatriya Rajput Sabha has demanded the Government to bring out a law to stop religious conversion in the union territory of Jammu and Kashmir.
The demand was raised by Rajput Sabha in its meeting held today under the chairmanship of Bishan Singh, president of the Sabha. The meeting condemned recent issue of conversion of Sikh girls into Islam at Srinagar and demanded stern action against those involved in it.
All the members present in the meeting said that only solution to this problem is bringing out a legislature by the Central/UT Government that none of the boys and girls can convert their religion without the consent of their parents. This is the only was to maintained peace and tranquility in the UT, they asserted.
