SAMBA, May 28: Amar Kshatriya Rajput Sabha, Jammu today held a programme at Rajput Sabha Samba, in which scholarship was awarded to the meritorious students of economically weaker section of Rajput community.
Scholarship was given to meritorious students who have recently passed out 10th and 12th standard exams.
Amar Kshatriya Rajput Sabha Jammu also felicitated youth from Rajput community for their achievements in the field of studies, sports and social activities.
Kunwar Narayan Singh, former President of Rajput Sabha Jammu and presently Prabhari BJP Samba unit, was chief guest on the occasion. He motivated youth to inculcate leadership and entrepreneurship qualities in them and contribute for the development of nation.
Narayan Singh also appealed the entire Rajput community to come forward for extending an helping hand to the economically weaker families of the community so that they may not feel alienated and deprived.
Other dignitaries present on the occasion, included Jagdish Singh Sangwal, Vice President Rajput Sabha J&K; Mangleshwar Singh, General Secretary Rajput Sabha J&K; Capt Inder Singh, President Rajput Sabha, Distt Samba; Karan Singh, Kawala Singh and Raj Singh.
