Rajnath reviews Kashmir situation

NEW DELHI: Home Minister Rajnath Singh today reviewed the security situation in violence-hit Kashmir Valley and along the Indo-Pak border areas in the State where several infiltration attempts have been made in the recent past.

Top officials, including Union Home Secretary Rajiv Mehrishi and chiefs of intelligence agencies, briefed the Home Minister on the prevailing situation in the State and the steps taken to maintain law and order.

Kashmir Valley has been on edge for 53 days following the killing of Hizbul Mujahideen militant Burhan Wani on July 8. (AGENCIES)
