Rajnath calls high-level meet to review internal security

NEW DELHI : Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh today convened a high-level meeting to assess the internal security situation, especially in the wake of the Pathankot terror attack.
The meeting was being attended by Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar, National Security Advisor Ajit Doval and BSF Chief D K Pathak. The meeting assumes added significance in view of Pakistan’s willingness to send a special investigation team to probe the Pathankot incident with India accepting the offer.
The NSA, who was in regular touch with his Pakistani counterpart Lt Gen Nasir Khan Janjua, was expected to brief the meeting about the latest progress on the investigation.
