Jammu, Oct 31: 46th Annual General Meeting of the Institution of Engineers (India), Jammu local centre was held at Institutional complex Channi Himmat, here today.
It was presided over by Braj Bhushan Sharma, Chairman of Jammu local centre. A large number of corporate members from all disciplines of engineering attended the meeting.
Rabinder Shekher, honorary secretary, while welcoming the members, presented the annual report for the year 2012-2013 and highlighted the activities of the local centre.
Rajinder Singh took over as the new Chairman and Mohinder Singh as honorary secretary for the session 2013 – 2014 and 2014 – 2015. Results of elections to the Committee of Jammu local centre for the sessions 2013 – 2014 and 2014 – 2015, was announced by Braj Bhushan Sharma, Chairman of IEI, Jammu local centre.
The Committee for the session 2013 – 2015 will comprise of Rajinder Singh, Chairman, Mohinder Singh, honorary secretary, Braj Bhushan Sharma, (past chairman) Rabinder Shekher, (past honorary secretary) Anil Verma, Samir Sharma, P. K. Nanda, Bhushan Lal Rawal, Sudhir Kumar Sethi, Ashok Kumar Sharma, Bhawna Sharma, Naresh Mahajan, Jatinder Singh Kapoor and Sonia Kandley.
Rajinder Singh is a retired Joint Director, Agriculture Engineering of J&K Govt. and Mohinder Singh, Assistant Executive Engineer, Mechanical Engineering Department, J& K Govt.
