JAMMU, Mar 1: Traders Federation, Ware House/Nehru Market held elections to elect new office bearers for 2015-16.
On the occasion, Rajesh Gupta has been elected as president as he secured 229 votes, whileas his opponents Rattan Lal Mahajan and Ramesh Chander Gupta claimed 176 and 74 votes respectively.
Ashok Kumar Gupta has been elected as senior vice president by taking 271 votes against his opponent Dheeraj Gupta, who claimed 209 votes.
Dharam Paul Gupta has been elected as junior vice president unanimously.
Deepak Gupta has been elected as general secretary by securing 372 votes and his rival Vipan Gupta secured 109 votes.
Munish Gupta was elected as secretary as he secured 312 votes, whereas his opponent Abhimanyu Gupta claimed 169 votes.
Rahul Gupta has been elected as cashier unanimously.
The election process was presided over by election president Rajan Gupta along with Rajesh Bhagotra, Atul Khanna, Sudesh Gupta and Ram Parkash.
Earlier, out going president Rattan Lal Mahajan presented the welcome address and Ram Langar, outgoing general secretary apprised the members about the achievements and developments of Ware House/Nehru Market.
The audited books of accounts were also passed on the occasion.
