Rajesh Gupta inaugurates public conveniences complex

JAMMU, Jan 4: In yet another initiative to provide succour to the people of Jammu East Constituency, the newly elected MLA Rajesh Gupta today inaugurated a Sulabh Shauchalaya at Guest House Purani Mandi here.
The Sulabh Shauchalaya which will provide succour to the people of the area especially shopkeepers of Raj Tilak Road and Purani Mandi besides visitors to the Temple City has been completed with an approximate cost of Rs 10 lakh.
Besides Rajesh Gupta, Jammu Municipal Corporation Commissioner, Kiran Wattal, Mahant Purani Mandi Temple Rameshwar Dass and secretary Dharmarth Trust Jammu Shashi Khajuria were also present on the occasion.
Addressing the gathering, Rajesh Gupta said to accomplish the cause of making Jammu East Constituency as one of the best in the State was his ultimate objective and until this mission is fulfilled he will continue to work without wasting a jiffy. “Transformation of this constituency into a place with all modern facilities to help people live a contented life is my aim”. Opening of this public utility edifice is also one of the initiatives in bringing the much needed respite to people who have to suffer a lot in the absence of any such facility in the area”, Rajesh added.
The JMC Commissioner emphasized that making judicious use of such edifice is the key to improve vicinity as often it is seen that people urinate and even defecate in open making surroundings filthy and unhygienic. He stressed upon the people to utilize the services in a manner that these will cater to their needs for a longer duration. “Misusing and damaging the public property is ultimately the loss of the people”, he asserted.
Mahant Rameshwar Dass said that people were longing for these services for so many years. He said that Rajesh Gupta’s initiative has provided a much needed respite to the locals as well as visitors.
