JAMMU, Dec 10: BJP candidate for Jammu East Rajesh Gupta participated in several meetings and also organized door-to-door contact programmes in many areas in his constituency.
Door to door contact drive was organized in Jullaka Mohalla and Chowgan Slathia and its adjoining areas. Ajatshatru Singh and Yuvraj Ranvijay Singh accompanied the contesting candidate.
People of the area raised the issue of the bad condition of lanes and roads in the Chowgan Slathia and Jullakha Mohalla.
An important meeting with the members of the Jain samaj and Sarafa Association was organized, where the leaders of the community interacted with Rajesh Gupta and apprised him about their problems.
Rajesh Gupta assured the Jain Samaj that he is conscious of their developmental needs and all the issues concerning them would be taken up in a time bound manner.
Gupta while addressing the gathering, said that many segments of people in J&K have been neglected and apathy over the years and it would be the endeavor of the BJP Government to reverse this trend. The fruits of development have not reached the people of the Jammu region, he added.
In Partap Mohalla, residents organized a public programme, in which large number of people participated.
Rajesh Gupta while addressing the gathering said that the leadership of Narendra Modi has energized the whole country and in the days to come Jammu East constituency would witness rapid growth and positive transformation on all fronts. Skill development and job oriented programmes for the youth are high on his agenda, he stated.
During public meeting in Moti Bazar, people raised the issues of congestion and insanitation in the area to which Rajesh Gupta assured them that he has a definite master plan that would reduce congestion in the area and would struggle for its implementation once elected as the representative of the constituency.
