KATHUA May 17: Rajbagh police today foiled a bovine smuggling bid and rescued 12 bovine animals at village Korepunnu falling under its jurisdiction.
As per reports, a team headed by Ravinder Singh, SDPO Border along with Inspector, Manjeet Singh, SHO, PS Rajbagh succeeded in foiling bovine smuggling bid and rescued 12 bovine animals.
Police team during checking at village Korepunnu intercepted one truck bearing Registration Numbers HP38C-7349 carrying bovine animals illegally being smuggled from Punjab towards Jammu. In this process, police saved 12 bovine animals.
Police seized the truck and registered a case under relevant sections of law. Further investigation into the case is going on.
