JAMMU, Mar 19: The Raj Bhawan observed the “Earth Hour” late in the evening by turning off non-essential lights for an hour from 8: 30 P.M-9:30 P.M.
The Earth Hour is WWF’s global initiative and the World’s largest grassroot movement for the environment where citizens around the world unite to take stand against climate change by turning off non-essential lights for one hour.
This campaign is in support of Indian Government’s pledge to mitigate emissions and move toward renewable energy. Earth Hour-2016 has urged citizens to switch off lights for an hour and learn more about rooftop solar systems to power their households, offices and other spaces.
