JAMMU : Incessant rains has suspended the chopper service to Mata Vaishno Cave Shrine from Katra base camp in Reasi district of Jammu and Kashmir. “Due to overnight rainfall, the chopper service was today suspended in view of cloudy weather conditions prevailing all around in the Trikuta Hills,” an official here said.
He said that the service will resume only after the weather conditions improve.
The Official further said that the Vaishno Devi Yatra is smoothly progressing despite rains as no incident of landslide or blockade of track has been reported so far. Meanwhile temperature has dipped in the winter capital due to unprecedented rains.
There could be rain or thundershowers with maximum and minimum temperature to be around 26 degree and 13 degree respectively across Jammu region,” an official said. (AGENCIES)
