Addressing protesting employees in front of BJP office here today, Raina said after hearing these hapless employees the LG will come to know about the ground realities in the Valley. He said the officers are giving a wrong feedback to him and he should meet these employees by calling them to Raj Bhawan.
Raina, while showing solidarity with protesting employees said that tomorrow national general secretary, BJP, Tarun Chug and MP Dilip Saikia is visiting Jammu and they will also meet the employees. He said the party took up the issue with leaders in Delhi as well and the leadership will visit Delhi and if need be they will take representatives of both package and reserved category employees with them.
He made it clear that BJP will not allow these employees to be made scapegoats.
Former Deputy CM, Kavinder Gupta who also spoke has asked the protesting Kashmiri Pandit and reserved category employees to have faith in the working of Government at the Centre and in Union Territory as very soon their problems will be solved and the LG’s administration will come out with an amicable solution. He asked the representatives of the employees to shun the path of agitation and come with the Government to resolve the issue on priority.
The employees were led by K K Khosa president K P Sabha and Dr Agnishekhar, convener Panun Kashmir. Dr Agnishekhar said that community has high hopes in present Government and the BJP leadership should intervene in settling the issue so that the employees will heave a sigh of relief.
Appalled by what has been termed a “Loud & Clear ” message of LG administration to all minority community employees serving in Kashmir valley, Girdhari Lal Raina @ Ajey Bharti, spokesperson of BJP has expressed deep concern over tendency to undermine and compromise basic/fundamental rights of minority community. He said claims of ‘all necessary safety measures’ having been taken sound hollow and do not match the ground reality, not to speak of actual requirements.
Most important aspect of security is safe accommodation, which continues to allude and haunt these employees. UT administration has completely failed on this front, he stressed. Even a cursory look at the number of residential units required and compared it with the number of units accorded administrative sanction or units under construction reveals the mismatch concealed in loud statements of UT administration, Raina pointed out.
Global Kashmiri Pandit Diaspora (GKPD) has also extended its full support to Hindu employees who have been threatened in Valley and have taken refuge in Jammu to save their lives.
Kashi Akhoon coordinator GKPD NCR New Delhi in a statement today said the employees who have lost their near ones in Kashmir through the hands of hybrid terrorists deserve justice.
