Rail service resumes in Kashmir valley

SRINAGAR :  Rail service resumed in the Kashmir valley after remaining suspended yesterday due to fresh snowfall.    This was the third time the rail service in the valley was suspended during the month of March due to snowfall.    A railway official said that rail service from Srinagar to Baramulla was resumed today and first train left for north Kashmir at 1000 hrs after the snow on the track was cleared.    However, snow clearance on the track from Srinagar to Anantnag and Qazigund in south Kashmir and Banihal in Jammu region was going on and the service will be resumed any time today.    The rail run was suspended following moderate to very  heavy snowfall during the past 24 hours.
