NEW DELHI, Feb 26: Taking a cue out of the Aam Aadmi Party’s election promises, Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu today announced that WiFi services will be provided on Railway Platforms.
Presenting his maiden Rail budget in the Lok Sabha, Mr Prabhu also proposed a slew of other measures to make Railway network more ‘tech friendly’.
Reaching out to the common man, Mr Prabhu proposed that the general coaches too would be provided with mobile charging ports. The AAP in the recently concluded Delhi Assembly polls had promised Delhiites free WiFi, a slogan which clicked among youths.
