JAMMU : AICC vice-president Rahul Gandhi today attacked Prime Minister Narendra Modi for promising the people of the country with “Achhe Din”.
“The Prime Minister promised ‘Achhe Din’ for the people of the nation but where are they?” he questioned while addressing an election rally in Darhal Assembly segment of Rajouri district.
“Mr Modi is trying to give ‘Achhe Din’ with Swachhta Abhiyan but did nothing on unprovoked firing from across the border and also failed in bringing back the black money,” said Mr Gandhi.
He said the BJP had diverted itself from the basic issues related to the Jammu and Kashmir, adding, “they (BJP) do not speak of boosting tourism sector, unemployment and other issues.”
The Congress leader also termed Mr Modi as a “dictator” and said it was not in the welfare of the country.
“Congress party, if voted to power in Jammu and Kashmir will provide rice at Rs 3 per kg, regularise thousands of daily wagers and will also distribute free medicines beside addressing other grievances,” he added.
JKPCC Chief Saif ud Din Soz, meanwhile, in his address said without Congress, no other party would be able to form the next Government in Jammu and Kashmir. (AGENCIES)
