Sir,
Fire has been raging in the forests of Rajouri and green gold worth millions of Rupees has been lost . We saw such fire raging in the forests near and adjoining the areas of Mata Shree Vaishnav Devi due to which the devotees had to face problems. This state has its beauty and natural grandeur mainly because of its rich dense forests which otherwise are under tremendous pressure due to illegal felling of trees, encroachment and neglect both from the public as well as from the government. Currently the situation has reached to alarming proportions forcing the authorities to even call for the help of the army to douse the raging flames in these forests.
While there could be multiple causes for such devastating fires destroying our precious forest wealth, it would be prudent for the government to come out with an enquiry report with steps to be taken in future to prevent such devastating fire in the forests of our state.
