JAMMU, July 6: Radhay Sham Sharma, Vice Chairman, J&K State Advisory Board for Development of Kissans held a meeting with the Chief Minister Omar Abdullah today and had a threadbare discussion pertaining to the development of Nowshera constituency.
The important demands projected through a charter of demands included compensation of Border Migrants of Nowshera constituency at par with Border Migrants of Pallanwalla including 10 marla residential plots as their one time permanent settlement at safer places; sanctioning of clusters of Model Villages in Nowshera and Sunderbani; creation of EM & RE Division (PDD) at Nowshera; release of already sanctioned funds amounting to Rs 6.88 crores for electrification of leftover ‘basties’ of SC/STs; employment of educated youth; on spot recruitment of youth of Nowshera and Sunderbani in the Police Department; up-gradation of schools; creation of district for Nowshera; establishment of Sheep Development and Research Farm at Kalsian and sanctioning of Polytechnic College at Nowshera, besides other demands.
The Chief Minister after hearing the demands patiently assured Mr Sharma that the vital issues raised will be redressed at an earliest.
