R N Ravi appointed Governor of Meghalaya

NEW DELHI: Nagaland Governor R N Ravi was on Monday given additional charge as Governor of Meghalaya.
According to a communique from Rashtrapati Bhawan,”The President of India is pleased to appoint Mr R N Ravi, Governor of Nagaland to discharge the functions of the Governor of Meghalaya, in addition to his own duties, during the absence on leave of Mr Tathagata Roy, Governor of Meghalaya.”
R N Ravi, a former Kerala cadre IPS officer, was earlier appointed as the centre’s interlocutor for the Naga talks. (agencies)
