JAMMU, Sept 3: All Jammu Based Reserved Category Employees Association (AJBRCEA), Kashmir continued their protest on the 95th consecutive day at Dr BR Ambedkar Chowk here, in Jammu.
The employees raised slogans related to transfer policy. Amid slogans, the employees urged the Lt. Governor led administration to address their three point genuine demands including formation of a suitable comprehensive transfer policy in a time bound manner by fixing a time period of 5 years of service, utilization of services of employees in their respective districts and not to pressurize the Jammu based employees to resume their duties in the prevailing situation in Kashmir valley.
It is pertinent to mention here that a peaceful protest is being held by All Jammu Based Reserved Category Employees Association, Kashmir since 1st of June 2022, the day after the targeted killing of teacher Rajni Bala, hailing from Samba district.
The situation in the Kashmir valley is still not conducive for the non-local employees to resume their duties. But various orders are being issued by concerned DDO’s regarding unauthorized absence from duties etc. Also salaries of various employees are withheld which is not justified in view of the prevailing situation which is not conducive for the safety and security of the lives of the non-local employees serving in Kashmir Division.
AJBRCEA, Kashmir has appealed the Lt. Governor led administration to take cognizance of the salary related issues of the Jammu based employees and an order regarding the release of withheld salary of employees be issued at the earliest.
