Rajouri, Mar 31: Youth Congress organized election meetings at Rajouri & Darhal constituency in support of Congress-NC coalition candidate Madan Lal Sharma where Shahnawaz Choudhary, State president Youth Congress & Iftkhar Ahmed, All India Election Commissioner, NSUI were present.
Speaking on the occasion, Shahnawaz Choudhary said that Congress is the only political party which has given rights to the people be it Right to Education, Right to Food Security, Right to Employment or Right to Information and the historical Roshni Act in the State of J&K. Congress has fought for the rights of people from the struggle for independence and post independence period. And at present also, Rahul Gandhi has introduced the elected system in Youth Congress & NSUI thus, giving the power to the youth and the students of the nation to elect their leaders in the party also.
He said that Madan Lal Sharma has a good record in leadership. He has represented the whole Lok Sabha segment in the Parliament with full energy and enthusiasm. Mr Choudhary appealed to the youth, students and the people to vote for Congress to ensure rapid progress of the area.
Ifthkar Ahmad said that for the first time in the political history of the country, a political party (Cong) has introduced student and youth manifesto. He said that prior to this election, manifestos were prepared in Delhi but the Congress party framed its manifesto by open consultations.
The programs were organized by Zahir Abass, Assembly president Youth Congress, Rajouri & Aijaz Katria, Vice president at Rajouri and Shokat Ali, Assembly president Youth Congress, Darhal.
