RAJOURI, Sept 19: A protest demonstration of casual labourers/need based workers of PWD (R&B) Department was held here today under the banner of PWD (R&B) Casual Labourers/ Need Based Workers Union, Rajouri.
The protesting workers were demanding disbursement of their pending salary since December 2017. Raising slogans against the Government, the protesting workers in one voice demanded for release of pending wages, implementation of SRO 520 of 2017 dated 21/12/2017 for regularization on fast track basis and implementation of Wages Head.
They brought the attention of Jammu and Kashmir Government towards the burning demand of poor casual labourers/need based workers/ ITI trained workers of PWD, who have been working since 1994 and are suffering badly due to delay in implementation of regularization policy.
While addressing the gathering of casual labourers/need based workers, the Union president, Mohd Riaz Mughal condemned the delaying policy of the J&K Government regarding the genuine issues of casual Labourers/Need based/ ITI trained workers working in PWD(R&B) Department.
Others who addressed the gathering were Murtaza Anjum Mir, Mohd Tariq Malik, Abdul Kaleem Bhatti, Riaz Ahmed Rathar, Mohd Rafiq, Abdul Qayoom, Kafeel Ahmed, Iftikhar Ahmed Khan, etc.
