PWA discusses demands

KATHUA, June 2: A meeting of Pensioners Welfare Association was held under the chairmanship of Dilsher Singh,district general secretary of the association.
Amar Nath Dogra, president of the association while addressing the meet urged the State Finance Minister to release the salary grants in favour of employees working in different Government Departments, who have not been paid salaries for previous years and due to this very reason, the families of such employees are facing great financial hardship in these days of economic depression.
He urged the State Finance Minister to consider waiving off 50% of the fee of girls studying in private schools on the principle of natural justice to allow fair and reasonable result in our egalitarian society.
Among those who were present in the meet included M S Jamwal, Dalip Singh, Shiv Kumar Thappa, Dewan Chand, Sohan Lal, Khushi Ram Sharma, Des Raj Verma, Shambu Nath Verma, Saran Singh, S Amrik Singh, S Tara Singh, Shakuntla and Vimla Dutta.
