Pvt schools representatives apprise DSEJ about their issues, demands

JAMMU, Apr 1: During an introductory meeting with Director School Education Jammu, Dr Ravi Shanker Sharma, the representatives of Private schools of Jammu division raised a series of issues and sought redressal of the same.
The delegation, led by Kamal Gupta, President Jammu Kashmir Private Schools Association, drew attention towards mushrooming growth of unrecognized schools, Nursery/Pre -primary schools and culture of running dummy classes by the most of the private schools with the collaboration of coaching centers/ tutorials.
They also highlighted misuse of Employees Conduct Rules by the Government teachers/ employees who have not only engaged in tuition centers / coaching centers but have also opened their own private schools.
The PSA also highlighted problem in Confirmation/ Countersignature of result of private schools for the academic session 2020-21 etc.
Director School Education Jammu Dr Ravi Shanker Sharma gave a patient hearing to the members and said that every possible step will be initiated by the authorities for safe guarding of all those who are solely dependent on the private schools. The Director also assured that all those Government employees, who are directly or indirectly linked with / opened any of the private school, will not be allowed to continue to perform any type of examination duties viz invigilation , cluster head , supervisor etc.
The delegation included Rameshwar Mengi (Vice President JKPSA ), Ajay Gupta (General Secretary JKPSA), Sanjeev Luthra (Member Central Body), Deepak Handa (President Jammu), Thomas Oommen (Vice President Udhampur), Siddheshwar Sadotra, Kulwinder Singh (President Samba), Subash Chib and Raj Dev Singh.
