Pvt Schools Association to register protest against harassment by Govt

JAMMU, Oct 9:  Up in arms against their alleged harassment by the State Government, the Jammu and Kashmir Private Schools Association has announced to lodge protest by biding black badges and flags on October 12.
Decision in this regard was taken in a meeting of all district presidents of Jammu Kashmir Private Schools Association, held here today under the chairmanship of Prof J L Kotwal, chairman of the Association.
General secretary of the Association Ajay Gupta introduced agenda of the meeting and drew attention towards the issues, such as un-necessary formalities being demanded by JKBOSE, viz NOC from Traffic department, deployment of security personal for boarding and de- boarding of the students in addition to present thirty two formalities for already affiliated schools for their extension in affiliation / recognition.
The meet also highlighted alleged discriminatory attitude of Director School Education Jammu in approving management committees and granting recognition up to class 8th in Jammu division although DSE Srinagar has granted recognition to 130 schools up to 8th, upgraded 51 schools and granted approval to the management committees of 150 schools in a single stint vide order no 736 dt 30/06/17. The Association also rued no involvement of leaders of PSA from Jammu division while making and fixing new rules for the schools.
Members present in the meeting were very much annoyed and worried about the treatment being given to this volunteered venture. All members were of the opinion that Government was hell bent to discourage and destroy this private initiative with these discouraging blows.
President of the Association Kamal Gupta criticized this discouraging and non professional attitude of the Government.
Those,  who attended the meeting,  included Rameshwar Mengi (vice-president),  Sat Paul  Mansotra (Kathua), Zafaruddin (Rajouri), Sanjeev Luthra (Jammu), Krishan Singh (Samba), Ajay  Singh (Reasi), Ram Parkash (Udhampur), Vishwa Mohan Sharma, Jatinder Heera, Laddi Kumar,  Gansara Singh, Siddeshwar Sadotra, Chain Singh, Rajeev Salathia, Vivek Chouhan, Rajinder Singh,  Rajeev Singh, Sanjeevn Singh, Raj Dev Singh and others.
