JAMMU, Oct 27: Purnima Sharma, Deputy Mayor kick started the developmental work in Ward No. 01 by laying the foundation stone for the construction of lane and drain opposite Kapoor House in Mohalla Tange Walli Galli.
It was an old requirement of the locals of Tange Wali Gali as the old drain was damaged and was getting blocked often causing trouble to the residents of the Mohalla. Taking cognisance of the problem efforts were made by the Deputy Mayor and development work worth of 1.58 lakh was approved for the construction of deep drain and lane at Tange Wali Gali in Ward No. 01.
Raj Khajuria AEE, JMC, Mukesh JE JMC, Parveen Arora (State Executive Member BJP), Karan Singh (district vice president BJP), Sangeeta Anand (secretary Jammu district), Praveen Kerni (president Mandal), Naresh Abrol (treasurer Mandal), Gopal Sanotra (additional office secretary Jammu East Mandal BJP), Vijay Sharma (president Booth No. 02, Ward No. 01), Shubh Lata Sharma (Jammu district general secretary, Mahila Morcha BJP), Sunita Wazir (Jammu district vice president Mahila Morcha BJP), Tarseem Ji, Ram Swaroop , Madhav Singh Thakur, Gopal Magotra and other prominent citizens of the area also accompanied the Deputy Mayor.
Speaking on the occasion, Purnima Sharma said that the developmental works were delayed due to the Corona virus pandemic and lockdown but now everything is back on track and the developmental work in different wards have already been started and will soon be completed for the welfare of the general public.
The locals praised and complimented Deputy Mayor and JMC for listening to their demands and taking quick action against them.
Purnima Sharma, appealed the people not to wander out of their houses unnecessarily as COVID-19 cases are still on the rise and only go out when it’s important but at that time masks should be used and social distancing should be maintained.
