This has a reference to DE news item in which Priya Sethi MoS announced that famous pilgrimage stations like Purmandal and Utterbehni will be brought under Swadesh Darshan Circuit for their development to promote religious pilgrimage in Jammu Province.
I would like to request the Minister that the proposed Swadesh Darshan circuit may please be extended upto Sudhmahadev and Mantalai as the temples of Lord Shiva and Holy Rivulets of this area carry great religions importance in Hindu religious circles. The temples of Sudhmahadev-Mantalai and Gouri-Kund are regularly visited by thousands of pilgrims throughout the year, but due to lack of infrastructure and other facilities the yatris suffer badly during their visit. Legends say that the Yatra of four Dhams remain incomplete till you visit Sudhmahadev-Mantalai for the blessing of Lord Shiva.
Apart from great religions importance If this land of Lord Shiva, the entire area has matchless natural beauty and of developed it can be one of the best tourist destination of J&K State, which had additional benefit of air connectivity. In fact both Sudhmahadev and Purmandal have some connecting links in religious tales to tell. The Swadesh Darshan will be highly successful if it is extended upto Sudhmahadev-Mantalai. The ancient temple of Lord Shiva at Sudhmahadev enjoys tall status among the famous Lord Shiva Shrines of North-India, so it is fit case to extend Swadesh Darshan circuit to this area.
