Punjabi Novel ‘Benaam Rishtey’ released

JAMMU, Mar 4: Punjabi Lekhak Sabha (PLS) here today organized a literary function to release the Punjabi novel ‘Benaam Rishtey’ written by Bhupinder Singh Raina, a senior fiction writer from J&K.
Dr. Baljeet Kaur, HoD Punjabi, University of Jammu was the chief guest of the occasion while Dr. Arvinder Singh Amn, Additional Secretary JKAACL presided over the function.
Dr. Monojit, PLS president was the special guest while Bhupinder Singh Raina and Dr. Baljit Raina were also present on the dais.
President PLS delivered the welcome address while a critical evaluation paper was read out by Rajveer Singh, a scholar of Punjabi Department in University of Jammu, on the released book.
Speaking on this occasion, Dr. Arvinder Singh Amn spoke in detail on the deeper issues involved in the novel.
Dr. Baljeet Kaur in her address said the sensitive issues raised in the novel compel the reader to think on execution of cultural values in the young generation and have better interaction to understand them.
Harjit Singh Uppal, president JK Punjabi Sahitik Sabha R.S Pura; Joginder Singh Paandhi, Ajit Singh Mastana, President J&K Punjabi Sahit Sabha, Srinagar, Dr. Baljit Raina and others also expressed their views on this occasion.
