JAMMU, Aug 26: Punjabi Lekhak Sabha Jammu organized its fortnightly literary meet, here today at Digiana, Jammu.
Dr Nirmal Vinod, well known multilingual poet and writer, presided over the meeting, which was conducted by S Harjit Singh Uppal while S Amar Singh Kuka, Ghazal writer presented the welcome address.
A session of essays and poetry recitation was conducted in which Amar Singh Kuka, Piara Singh Dhanjal, Jang S Verman, Harjit Singh Uppal, Pritam Singh Anjaan, Kulwant Singh (from Kashmir), Resham Kaur and Dr Nirmal Vinod presented their items.
Various themes and topics were depicted through these essays and poems of various genres. Satire essay by Pritam Singh Anjaan on the false faiths and dogmas and mal- practices related to those, in the general folks, was highly appreciated.
