Punjab simmering due to friendly match being played b/w Badal & Captain: AAP

CHANDIGARH, Dec 5: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) state president and MP from Sangrur Bhagwant Mann on Saturday said Punjab was paying a heavy a price for decades now due to the friendly match being played between the successive Congress and Akali Dal governments ruling the state for longer spans of time, pushing it into an abysmal mess.

It said to restore the lost glory of the agrarian state, a corruption-free government, a la the Arvind Kejriwal-led AAP government in Delhi, was the need of the hour.

In a statement from party headquarters on Saturday Bhagwant Mann cornered Punjab chief minister, Captain Amarinder Singh, asking “You (Captain) are trying to mislead the people of Punjab citing court cases registered against you and your family.

The people are aware of the fact that you and Badals have taken turns to grab power in Punjab by playing friendly matches for over decades shoving the state into an abysmal fiscal mess”.  (UNI)
