Punjab police nabs wanted accused from Rajouri

JAMMU, Aug 29: A Punjab police party raided a house in Rajouri town and arrested a wanted criminal this evening.
Police sources said that a police party from Amritsar led by an officer of the rank of DySP and assisted by an Inspector from Kathua Police Station in J&K, raided the house of Farooq Dar at Kheora in Rajouri town and arrested Mohd Aslam (37 yrs), son of Mohd Bashir, resident of Mangota village in Thanamandi. He was packed in a police vehicle and taken to Punjab.
He was working as carpenter and residing in a rented room in the house of Farooq Dar in Rajouri town. Though police was tight lipped over the cause behind the arrest but it was transpired that he was connected with a gang indulging in trafficking activity in J&K and Punjab.
