Punish terrorists responsible for Pandits’ massacres: KPC

JAMMU, Jan 8: Kashmiri Pandit Conference (KPC ) today demanded opening of Wandhama , Nadi Marg, Sangrampura massacres and other killing cases of Kashmiri Pandits which were closed down without holding any one accountable and responsible.
The demand was made by KPC in a meeting at New Delhi which was chaired by its president, Kundan Kashmiri. The meeting said that no one was punished, so for, despite of repeated pleas by the community leadership for an impartial probe and punishment to those responsible for killings and their harbourers.
Kundan Kashmiri, while highlighting the various issues of displaced KPs like killing of the innocent community people, snatching of their land under the guise of so called progressive land reforms, distress sale and encroachments which gave a severe jolt to the community with the result its future is uncertain and it is facing miseries and distress.
While demanding guaranteed job avenues in the form of employment package, loans and other financial assistance to all displaced youth, Kashmiri, said that KP youth have no source of income, no land, business or trade and are completely dependent on the very meager relief from the Government. Thousands of KP youths from the age of 18 to 30 years did not find suitable jobs for years and after going overage they have not even provision to work in their own agriculture fields or in family owned businesses and other fields as being displaced they have no land, business or trade to earn their livelihood.
He demanded a special employment package in the Central Government departments with age relaxation is the need of the hour for the displaced youth.
He also appealed to the Lt. Governor J&K and Union Home Minister to immediately issue appointment orders for 45 displaced youths sitting on dharna at Press Club Jammu from the last couple of months who are facing huge financial difficulties.
Other KPC leaders who addressed the meeting included Tej Pandita, Dr.HL Saraf, Susheel Bhat, R.L Raina,and M.K Raina.
