Pulwama attack:Last rites of martyred CRPF jawan performed with full state honours in Kannauj

KANNAUJ, Feb 16: The last rites of CRPF Jawan Pradeep Yadav who was martyred in the fidayeen attack in Jammu-Kashmir’s Pulwama were performed here with full state honours on Saturday.
The martyr’s 10-year-old daughter Supriya fell unconscious after completing the rituals in the midst of sorrowful environment in Sukhenpur village in the Lal Indargarh area of Kannauj district.
The people present raised slogans of ‘Bharat Mata ki Jai’ and ‘Pradeep Yadav amar rahe.’
Earlier, Uttar Pradesh state ministers Sandeep Verma and Archana Pandey laid wreaths at the mortal remains of the martyr along with the family of the Jawan. The senior officials of the district and police administration were also present. The traders in the district kept their shops in tribute to the departed soul.
CRPF Jawan Pradeep Yadav was a soldier in the 115th battalion in Srinagar and had returned to service after four days holidays. He is survived by his wife and three children who live in Kanpur.
Former UP chief minister Akhilesh Yadav had also visited the martyr’s residence on Friday and consoled the grieving family members. The SP leader had later tweeted that in this time of utmost grief, the nation should come together and extend all possible economic help to the bereaved families of the martyrs. (UNI)
